Upstream Danube
renders homage to central Europe’s Great Mother River, blending the meandering qualities of waterflows with alluvial memories of the artist’s maternal-line family history. Heedful of both the majestic and the miniscule qualities of the Danube, the exhibition pours together still and moving images of riverscapes, offering to the viewer intimate glances into vortices of river currents and of riverside family outings.
